Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong talked over the phone with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on January 16, on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year festival and the 70th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties.

While US President Donald Trump has promoted bilateral trade, condemning inequalities in multilateral relations, Chinese President Xi Jinping has said that globalization is an irreversible trend.

 Vietnam pursues a consistent policy of attaching special importance to its friendship with China and giving it a top priority in the country’s foreign policy, affirmed Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. 

 National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung met with China’s Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping in Beijing on December 23 within the framework of his official friendship visit to China.

President Truong Tan Sang had bilateral meetings with US President Barack Obama, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on November 10 on the sidelines of the APEC Summit in Beijing, China.
