All 10 local fishermen were on boat QNg-95739-TS, owned by Nguyen Thi Dung and captained by Nguyen Thanh Bien, with the pair residing in Chau Thuan Bien village of Binh Chau commune.

 Relevant agencies have repatriated 16 Vietnamese nationals aboard a cargo ship seized in the Philippines, while also working to return 15 fishermen who violated the waters of Papua New Guinea.

The Foreign Ministry instructed the Embassy of Vietnam in Indonesia to work with Indonesian authorities to help the 25 Vietnamese fishermen arrested for fishing in the country’s seas, the Ministry’s Consular Department told reporters.

The Indonesian authorities, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Jakarta, completed procedures to repatriate 10 Vietnamese fishermen on January 21.
