The Vietnam - Israel Inter-Governmental Committee on cooperation in economy, science - technology and other fields convened the third meeting in Hanoi on August 16.
Vietnam and Israel will soon complete related procedures to kick-start the implementation of the recently signed free trade agreement (VIFTA) between the two countries.
Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and Israeli Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat on July 25 signed the Vietnam - Israel Free Trade Agreement (VIFTA) in Tel Aviv.
The 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Israel and the 78th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day were marked at a ceremony in Tel Aviv on July 23.
Vietnam and Israel will sign a bilateral free trade agreement this month, so the Middle Eastern country can more easily engage in food and agricultural projects in the Southeast Asian market.
“This is my 5th year in Vietnam. I have had a lot of Tet experiences,” Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar told VietNamNet during a recen visit to the home of an artisan who makes Hang Trong folk painting.
'We are very happy to bring prosperity to the people. We hope to maintain connection with the land and people here," said Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam Nadav Eshcar during his recent business trip to the central province of Quang Tri.
Vietnam and Israel on December 21 signed a protocol amending the air transport agreement between the two governments which are planning to launch direct flights connecting the two countries.
The Tel Aviv administration is willing to cooperate with Vietnamese localities and share experience in smart city development, tourism, investment and business, Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai told Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Do Minh Hung.
