Since the beginning of the year the nation has recorded a total of 29 deaths from rabies across 17 provinces and cities, a figure double compared to the same period from last year.
Though rabies vaccines exist for both humans and animals, the disease has the highest number of deaths among diseases transmitted from animals to humans in Vietnam.
