VND2 trillion saved as 3,900 admin agencies cut
Government spending in the 2019-2021 period was reduced by over VND2 trillion thanks to 3,900 communal- and district-level administrative agencies being cut, said Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra.
74,443 civil servants made redundant between 2015 and 2021
A total of 74,443 State employees were laid off between 2015 and 2021 following the policy of the Party and Government to downsize the number of public employees.
