The Ursulines Museum in France is currently exhibiting paintings by Vietnamese master Mai Trung Thu, the first retrospective ever in Macon City.
An art exhibition featuring 140 paintings produced by renowned Vietnamese artist Mai Trung Thu will be held at the Ursulines Museum in Macon, France, from June 16 to October 24, the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) reported.
A portrait, titled La Joconde (Mona Lisa), by late painter Mai Trung Thu (1906-1980) will be available for bidding on May 24 as part of the Christie’s Hong Kong Spring Auctions.
French auction house Aguttes is focusing on major works by Vietnamese artists on March 11.
After years participating in auctions held by major auction houses in the world, collector Nguyen Minh has brought home nearly 30 paintings by well-known artists of Vietnam such as Vu Cao Dam, Le Pho, Mai Trung Thu, and Le Thi Luu.
