VietNamNet Bridge - Government agencies cannot agree on a minimum wage, and continue to argue about whether the current minimum wage can cover the basic needs of workers.
Smartphone sales will continue to increase for at least the next five years in Vietnam, according to a survey conducted by the IDC firm. Though sales are slowing, Vietnam remains the fastest-growing smartphone market in South East Asia.
VietNamNet Bridge – The region-based minimum wage in Viet Nam would increase by 15.1 per cent starting next year under a proposal that the National Wage Council recently submitted to the Government.
VietNamNet Bridge - According to the Committee for Social Affairs of the National Assembly, the current minimum wage in the public sector satisfies about 38.4 percent of the minimum living standard.
The price for a bowl of "pho" at present remains the same with that in 2011. This is a rare thing because for many years, the growth rate of the essential food was relatively stable. However, it was the stability of the price growth, not the price.
