The People’s Committee of Hanoi has proposed the municipal People’s Council add the urban railway project No 3 to the list of projects funded by official development assistance (ODA) and preferential loans from foreign donors.

For the second time in two years, a proposal put forward by the Ha Noi Police Department to move Ha Noi Railway Station (HNRS) and all inter-provincial railway tracks to the suburbs has been rejected

The Ha Noi Police Department has proposed to move the Ha Noi Railway Station and all the inter-provincial rail tracks to the suburbs to avoid traffic congestion and fatal accidents in the inner city.

Some VND62 trillion (US$2.7 billion) of official development aid (ODA) is the amount proposed by the Ha Noi People’s Committee to build two new railway routes in the city.

With the new roof system, passengers at the Hanoi Railway Station will from now on not have to worry about the weather. The new platform will also allow passengers to move more conveniently inside the station.
