Ford Motor Company has announced it will temporarily cease production at its assembly plant in Vietnam in response to the growing impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Ford Vietnam on January 14 announced it was investing another US$82 million (VND1.9 trillion) to upgrade its Hai Duong assembly facility and expand its annual production capacity to 40,000 vehicles.
The year of 2019 was a difficult period for Vietnam’s auto market, but also marked positive performances of most local car producers.
