The Tra Vinh Province People’s Committee has approved the construction of two embankment projects worth a total of VND260 billion (US$11 million) to prevent river and coastal erosion.

VietNamNet Bridge – On the evening of December 4, a 16m piece of the dike in Thu Duc District, HCM City was broken when the flood tide was surging. Water overflowed into hundreds of houses in the area.

 VietNamNet Bridge – Nearly 60m of embankment of a VND700 billion ($35 million) project which is under construction collapsed into the river of Can Tho on the early morning of May 30.
