Cashew nuts shells were once believed to be good for nothing and regarded as waste, but the circular economy model has changed everything, turning the waste into big cash spinner.
Vietnamese exporters have regained ownership of all 100 cashew nut containers that faced a risk of being swindled in Italy in March, said Tran Thanh Hai, deputy head of the Import-Export Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The last of the 35 cashew nut containers, the original documents of which were claimed by Vietnamese exporters to be missing because of a suspected scam, have been ultimately released under an Italian court rule.
Vietnam has been the world's leading cashew nut exporter for the past 16 years, accounting for about 80% of the world’s total exports.
