Carp-shaped food items popular snacks on Kitchen Gods Day
A range of carp-shaped snacks including sticky rice and jelly are proving to be popular food items ahead of the annual Kitchen Gods Day, which falls on the 23rd day of the final month of the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
Hanoi to hold the Kitchen God festival
On the 23rd of the 12th month of the lunar year, February 3, Hanoians will carry an earthen tripod of 1.2m high, a 3.5m long carp and 12 trays of specialties in a parade from the ancient pottery village of Bat Trang to the Hanoi’s center.
