'Transformers 4' , bom tấn ăn khách nhất mùa hè 2014 với doanh thu trên 1 tỉ USD có tên ở 7 hạng mục đề cử Mâm xôi vàng dành cho phim và ê kíp dở nhất năm.
Như thường lệ, trước khi công bố đề cử Oscar 1 ngày, các ứng viên của Mâm xôi vàng lại lộ diện. Bị chỉ trích tệ hại ngay khi ra rạp nhưng phần 4 loạt phim đình đám về robot biến hình của đạo diễn Michael Bay không ngờ lại xuất hiện nhiều như vậy tại các hạng mục Mâm xôi năm nay.
Bộ phim có doanh thu cao nhất 2014 nhận 7 đề cử trong đó có Phim dở nhất, Đạo diễn tệ nhất, Nữ diễn viên phụ, Kịch bản, Phần nối tiếp chán nhất. Hạng mục Phim dở nhất còn có Saving Christmas, Left Behind (Những kẻ sống sót), The Legend of Hercules (Huyền thoại Héc quyn) và Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Ninja rùa), một bộ phim khác do Michael Bay sản xuất.
Adam Sandler, cái tên quen thuộc của các giải Mâm xôi gần đây tiếp tục lọt đề cử năm nay ở hạng mục Nam diễn viên tệ nhất trong Blended. Bạn diễn của anh trong Blended là Drew Barrymore cũng bị đề cử Nữ diễn viên chính dở nhất.
