VietNamNet Bridge – After an eight-month journey with 66 films screened, the winners of the 3rd online film fest YxineFF have been announced, with Dawn directed by Leon Le & Keith Creedy from the U.S winning the Golden Heart as Best Film from International Competition and Best Directing.

Despite being only 10 minutes long, the film guides audiences through many contrasting emotional states, showing them that, with a condensed story and a well controlled storytelling style, an inner world within each individual is always hard to understand and much more complex than what is said or done.

Best Screenplay went to Iva directed by Polen Ly from Cambodia and Best Cinematography belonged to Vietnamese duo Nguyen Khac Nhat and Nguyen Vinh Phuc’s 16:30 which also featured a Best Male Performance from actor Tran Minh Khoa.

Malaysian Dave Singh won Best Editing for Breathe with Best Female Performance for actress Chen Yu Ting in the Chinese film Xiao Tong by Tiny Pupil.

YxineFF (Yxine Film Fest) is an annual online international short film festival at www.yxineff.com. With the slogan ‘Sharing, Love, Cinema’, YxineFF’s target audience is young independent filmmakers and cinema lovers.
