According to the State Professorship Council, local professorship councils have proposed granting professor and associate professor titles to 673 candidates, including 62 for professor and 611 for associate professor.
Loc, born in 1992, who works in the Physics Faculty at the Hanoi University of Natural Sciences, a member of the Hanoi National University, is the youngest candidate for the associate professor title.
Loc graduated from the Faculty of Modern Electronic Engineering under the University of Natural Sciences in 2014, and obtained a doctorate in Radio Physics and Electronics from the same school in 2019.
After university graduation, he began working at the Faculty of Physics and held different positions before becoming an official lecturer at the faculty. Since March 2023, he has been deputy head of the Radio Physics division.
Loc has completed one ministerial-level scientific research project and one grassroots-level project. The candidate has published 58 scientific articles, including 24 articles published in prestigious international journals. He is the main author of seven of the articles.
Loc focuses on research, design and manufacture of advanced MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) and a microfluidic microelectromechanical system for biomedical applications; and development and optimization of electronic circuits and signal processing systems for biomedical devices.
Loc is the holder of a patent for a microfluidic device that detects A549 lung cancer cells and a process that detects lung cancer cells (he is co-author).
Tran Ngoc Mai from Ha Nam, with a bachelor’s degree from a university in the US and a master’s degree in the UK, is the youngest candidate for the associate professor title.
She is now deputy head of the International Investment division at the Hanoi Banking Academy. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska, Omaha in the US, and a master’s degree in economics and finance from the University of London, Queen Mary's in UK. In 2021, she obtained a doctorate from the Hanoi University of Foreign Trade.
Mai has published 31 scientific articles, including six articles published in prestigious journals after obtaining her doctorate (she was the main author of six articles).
She was the leader in two basic research projects that were accepted with good and excellent results, and participated in writing two specialized reference books.
Mai’s research focuses on international investment and trade and sustainable economic development, in addition to sustainable business practices and behavior management. She has published 14 scientific articles (first author of three articles) on the former and 17 articles (first author of three articles) on the latter.
