The "Happy Snake" mascot, designed by Bui Van Quan from Bac Giang, has captivated many with its friendly and adorable appearance. Standing 5.1 meters tall and weighing 7 tons, the green cement and steel sculpture has become a social media sensation.

Recently, images of Quan’s creation, dubbed the "Happy Snake," have gained widespread attention online. The sculpture resides in Quan’s "Happiness Garden" in Hiep Hoa, Bac Giang.

Quan shared that he and two collaborators spent nearly three months bringing the project to life.

“Snakes often evoke fear, so I aimed to create a statue of a snake that is lovable and approachable. This spring, I want visitors to feel joy and overcome their fear of snakes when they visit my home,” Quan explained.

A symbol of hope and joy

The "Happy Snake" derives its name from its location in Quan’s Happiness Garden. Quan chose a cheerful green for the statue, symbolizing hope and renewal as people step into 2025.

Last year, Quan also created a dragon mascot, affectionately nicknamed "Preschool Dragon" by social media users.

Over the years, the artist has completed more than 40 sculptures inspired by various animated characters. His creations, infused with humor and creativity, have drawn visitors from all over.

In 2024 alone, Quan’s Happiness Garden welcomed nearly 100,000 visitors. The garden, home to his sculptures, has become a favorite spot for locals and tourists seeking unique and lighthearted experiences.

Quan's "Happy Snake" mascot is the latest addition to his growing collection, continuing his mission to spread joy through art.
