Viettel Chairman Tao Duc Thang.

Thang was born on July 15, 1973 in the central province of Thanh Hoa. He holds a Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications.

Thang has held many key positions in Viettel such as Deputy General Director of Viettel Group (2018-2021), Acting Deputy General Director (2015-2018), Acting General Director of Viettel International Investment Corporation (2014-2015), General Director of Viettel Network Corporation (2013-2014), Director of Viettel Network Company (2010-2013), and Acting Deputy Director of the Viettel Telecom (2008-2010).

In 2005, Thang joined Viettel as Head of Technical Management Department, Viettel Mobile Company. From 2005-2008, he held the positions of Deputy Director of KV1 Mobile Center, and Deputy Director of Technical Operations Center (Viettel Telecom Company). From 1995-2005, he worked at the Hanoi Telephone Company and Hanoi Post Office.

Over the past 33 years, Viettel has had four stages of development and three generations of leadership.
