Summer Beach Party: 103A Pham Ngu Lao Street, District 1, HCMC

A music and fashion party called “Summer Beach Party” will be held at Seventeen Saloon Bar in downtown HCMC this Friday, June 30. The event will feature numerous interesting activities including a gameshow, dancing performances, a lucky draw and fashion shows with the participation of “The Times” dance troupe waiting for visitors to discover.

Party-goers will enjoy a colorful and exciting night at the bar located 103A Pham Ngu Lao Street, District 1 in close proximity to the most busy backpackers quarter in the city center.

Hello Weekend Market: Hoa Lu Stadium, 2 Dinh Tien Hoang Street in District 1, HCMC

Bazaars or flea markets stemming from Western countries have become a popular rendezvous to expatriates and local youths in HCMC during the weekend where shopaholics and fashion lovers gather for relaxation as well as for a good chance to purchase trendy clothes, footwear, bags, accessories and household decoration items at discounts from 10% to 50%.  

Those missing the weekend bazaar last week at Sense Market at Zone B of September 23 Park in downtown HCMC can still come to a similar event this week at Hoa Lu Stadium at the corner of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Dinh Tien Hoang streets. The event themed “Hello Paradise” will feature some 100 stands selling fashion items of local and foreign brands, cosmetics, shoes and bags at discounted prices, apart from a photo booth and a food corner. The weekend market will be available from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on two weekend days, July 1-2 with free admission.

Magic Flute opera: HCMC’s Opera House at 7 Lam Son Square in HCMC’s District 1

Local and international audiences will have the opportunity to watch the world-renowned opera “The Magic Flute” in German by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart at the HCMC Opera House at 8 p.m. on June 30 and July 1.

The opera is about the love story between Prince Tamino and the beautiful Tamina. Spectators can see contrasts and similarities between good and evil, day and night, men and women and passion and will. Tamino and Tamina have to experience many difficulties in life to find true love.
