To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (January 18, 1950 - January 18, 2025) and to celebrate the "Vietnam - China Year of People-to-People Exchanges," Vietnam Television (VTV) and China Media Group (CMG) have jointly announced a new media partnership and unveiled key collaborative projects for the 2025-2026 period.

The cooperation will feature a series of prominent initiatives, including the co-production of documentaries and multimedia content focusing on technology development and artificial intelligence.
VTV and CMG have agreed to enhance content exchange, particularly programs that explore cultural depth, national identity, and major development achievements of both countries.
Priority will be given to documentaries, TV dramas, and special reports covering history, landmarks, people, and innovation.
A key highlight of the collaboration is a cultural exchange performance program featuring artists from both countries.
The event will showcase leading figures in both traditional and contemporary arts, representing the richness of Vietnamese and Chinese cultures.
To foster deeper understanding between the peoples of both nations - especially among youth - VTV and CMG will also jointly produce a "Young Reporters Exchange" program.
This initiative aims to raise awareness, strengthen traditional friendship, build lasting bonds, and encourage mutual learning for a sustainable future.

Commenting on the partnership, Nguyen Thanh Lam, General Director of VTV, said: "Through concrete projects launched today - from documentary co-productions and cultural exchange programs to thematic forums and multi-platform digital content cooperation - our two national broadcasters will not only promote cultural exchange but also provide opportunities for the people of Vietnam and China to explore each other’s traditions, values, and modern achievements. This will enrich public knowledge and help lay a solid foundation for lasting friendship between the two nations."
Shen Haixiong, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Deputy Head of the Publicity Department, and President and Editor-in-Chief of CMG, shared similar sentiments.
"This year marks both the 75th anniversary of China - Vietnam diplomatic relations and the Year of People-to-People Exchanges. CMG and VTV will continue cooperating across multiple areas, including content sharing and co-production, turning our collaborative streams into a great river of cultural and media friendship between China and Vietnam," he stated.
