There were no surprises in the second round match of the Badminton Asia Championship on April 28 when Vietnamese Nguyen Tien Minh lost to world leading athlete Lin Dan in the men’s singles event.

Minh, world No 34, was beaten for the sixth time in a row by the world No 3 Lin 13-21, 11-21 in Wuhan, China.
With his defeat there are no Vietnamese athletes left at the tournament, which will end on May 1. Winners walk away with US$200,000.
