VietNamNet Bridge – Hoa Sen Group has spent VND31.7 billion bringing Nick Vujicic, an Australian motivational speaker born with neither arms nor legs, to Vietnam for meetings in Hanoi and HCM City.

Born with the absence of all four limbs, Vujicic trained himself to do everything a normal person can do as well as many extraordinary things. He has extended a pervasive influence to millions of people worldwide, with his famous saying “The largest disability in life is to lose hope. Trust me, losing hope is just worse than losing limbs”.

With a mission to convey love, Vujicic has traveled the world to deliver motivational speeches and awaken the hidden power in every human being.

Asked why spending such a large sum on this event in the current tough times, Hoa Sen Chairman Le Phuoc Vu said: “In the spiritual perspective, this amount is negligible.

“Nick’s story is a great source of encouragement for the disadvantaged, the disabled, orphans, the poor, students in reformatories and many struggling businessmen in need of encouragement. It’s like water for thirsty people in a desert, very precious.”

Despite his very busy schedule for presentations all over Asia, Nick expressed his desire to visit Vietnam to share his experiences and the great values of life, Vu told the Daily.

“I did not expect such a strong interest in this event. Many people asked me for tickets, but there are only complimentary tickets. Nick is also surprised at the huge interest of Vietnamese in him.”

“Therefore, from the initial plan for meetings with only students and street kids at a cost of VND7 billion, we have developed a series of events with a larger scale at a cost of up to VND30.7 billion,” Vu said.

From May 22 to 25, Nick Vujicic will meet thousands of people in Hanoi and HCMC to inspire the disabled and the people in distress.

At meetings with the theme “Never give up” in Hanoi and HCMC on May 23 and 24, he will speak to 6,500 businessmen.

He will also address 25,000 students at meetings themed “Never give up aspirations” and talk with about 9,000 street kids, children with disabilities and those in difficult circumstances at similar events.

“This will be a great inspiration to millions of people in Vietnam, especially the younger generation and those facing adverse circumstances, giving them a motivation to overcome the difficulties in life on their own,” said Vu.

“I hope this will be a source of inspiration for Vietnamese entrepreneurs to keep up their spirit to face and overcome the current challenges and bring the economy back to its high growth path.”
