Off to Laos: The cast of the movie Chang trai nam ay by director Nguyen Quang Huy

"Chang trai nam ay" is the work of director Nguyen Quang Huy. Actor Son Tung M-TP plays a singer with cancer. This role won the 21 year-old male singer the Golden Kite Award in the category of Promising Young Actor. The work also marks the second time that director Huy has been invited to LPFF after his film Than tuong (Idol) was well received last year.

Dap canh giua khong trung is about a girl played by Thuy Anh, pregnant in adolescence. The film by director Nguyen Hong Diep has been screened at several movie festivals across the world.

LPFF is an annual event to be held in Laos. It aims to honour the best films in Southeast Asia, provide an unique forum for professional filmmakers and audiences, as well as promote the development of the regional film industry.

This year, the organizers selected 28 films of the countries in the region to be screened during the festival.
