The leadership of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army has emphasized the goal of achieving the most synchronized, best-executed, and visually striking parade for the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Rigorous training for a historic event

On March 13, the Subcommittee on Military Parade and Marching for the 50th Anniversary of National Reunification conducted an intensive training session, reviewing ceremonial procedures and parade formations managed by the Ministry of National Defense.

With limited time remaining, military units are required to focus their full attention and exert their utmost efforts to perfect their performance, ensuring the parade reflects the grand scale and significance of the anniversary celebration.

The training took place under diverse weather conditions. While Training Center 4 in suburban Hanoi experienced persistent rain and fog, the three other training locations in Military Region 5, Military Region 7, and Army Corps 34 faced extreme heat.

Despite the challenges, participants remained committed and disciplined, striving to meet the strict criteria of precision, uniformity, strength, and grandeur.

After reviewing previous training sessions, leaders from the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff noted significant improvements in marching formations and overall performance.

Ensuring perfection in every detail

During the training session, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, instructed military units to maintain rigorous training schedules, with special attention to individual movements and overall synchronization. He emphasized that "even a single misaligned marcher can disrupt the entire formation."

The precision of marching formations was assessed, with particular emphasis on arm swings, salutes, and uniform adjustments. Adjustments were also made to ceremonial performances, including formations, letter displays, and accompanying music.

In addition, General Nghia proposed incorporating female performers into the formation to enhance the visual representation of the historic "March to Saigon" victory.

He also emphasized the importance of narrative delivery, ensuring that the announced descriptions of each military branch’s role in history are clear, impactful, and inspiring.

High morale and commitment from the troops

Senior military leaders stressed the importance of direct leadership involvement, with commanders personally overseeing training, motivating soldiers, and ensuring their well-being. Competitive spirit and teamwork among different parade units were encouraged through internal competitions.

As the final training sessions approach, military leaders, including the Minister of Defense, will conduct on-site inspections to evaluate and refine performances.

Senior Lieutenant General Nghia concluded the session by reaffirming the collective commitment to excellence, stating: "We are determined to deliver the most synchronized, best-executed, and visually stunning parade performance."

After reviewing training progress across multiple sites, the General Staff leadership recognized and commended the efforts of all participating officers and soldiers, acknowledging their discipline, determination, and commitment to excellence.
