The Ministry of Planning and Investment’s Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) has launched an portal on foreign investment procedures with the purpose of increasing the attractiveness of the country’s business-investment climate.
FIA Director Do Nhat Hoang said the ministry is speeding up administrative reform while assisting businesses in making procedures in a fast, accurate and effective fashion.
Enterprises and investors can have easier access to guides on investment and business procedures in localities- Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, the northern provinces of Phu Yen, Hai Duong, Vinh Phuc and the central province of Binh Dinh.
The portal provides instruction manuals in five languages, namely English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese.
Frank Grozel, expert from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), said Vietnam is the first country in the Southeast Asian region to conduct such an information system.
The Vietnam portal on foreign investment procedures helps people and businesses to access information, combat corruption and give feedback to authorized agencies during the administrative reform process.
