VietNamNet Bridge – Da Lat City’s ‘Hell Market’, despite its thrilling name, has nothing to do with death or the afterlife but tourists can find themselves in shopping heaven there.
Da Lat’s Hell Market in the beauty of night
|
The daily market, where Da Lat-made woolen produce can be purchased and specialties of the region tasted, was named so because once there were no lights to illuminate the boisterous nighttime activities of the vendors selling their wares.
Visitors can shop and eat all night long if they feel like it with the market open from around 6pm until 3 - 4 am the next day.
Street food is abundant here with delicious grilled meat dishes, Vietnamese style baguettes and traditional sweet cake ready to be eaten and healthy soya and green soy milk drinks there to be knocked back. All at very reasonable prices.
If visitors are touring the region’s attractions such as Than Tho lake, Bao Dai Palace and Langbiang Mountain, they should drop by the Hell Market to feel the beat of city life by night.
