VietNamNet Bridge – A pair of robots manufacture by a Vietnamese company has been invited to participate in three live TV programs, which have a very high percentage of viewers in the U.S., after their impressive appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2013 early this month.

Two robots mRobo and DiscoRobo of the Vietnamese company TOSY appeared in NBC's Today Show, Fox and Friends show of Fox News Channel and Spike TV in the MTV system.

Earlier, at CES, the performance of the Vietnamese robots attracted a lot of visitors. The two robots mRobo and DiscoRobo received special attention of the U.S. and international media. TV channels such as Discovery Channel, The Insider, CBS made direct reports at the TOSY booth during the four-day exhibition.

The Today Show introduced two robots of Vietnam on January 18, local time. This is a favorite morning live TV show on NBC, with an average of 6 million viewers per show. The moderator introduced that, users can teach mRobo dances. It is also a MP3 player and a speaker.

Another morning live TV program in the US, Fox and Friends aired on 13/1. According to the host, DiscoRobo is able to dance on any music. Its price is only $45. "And here's the really great robot called mRobo. You can teach it to your own dances. It costs $200 and will be launched later this year."

On the Spike TV, the Vietnamese robotic program was aired on January 17. The host is Katie Linedoll, a technology/sport expert and a favorite host in the US. "This is the mRobo, you can teach it to your own dance," said Linedoll.

Linedoll interviewed famous dancer cum choreographer Derek Hough. In the interview, when being asked: "You have created dancers for this robot?" Hough said: "I taught it to dance. This is exciting and challenging requirements. I was really surprised by what technology can do, and by the exact movements of the mRobo. I did not know what it could do but indeed it was great."

mRobo weighs 1.5 kg, has a starting price of $200. mRobo’s software will automatically analyze the rhythm and melody of each song, and adjust the robot to dance to the music.

DiscoRobo is a toy robot dancing to the music. For each song with different tune, he'll jump in a different way. While dancing, DiscoRobo can present vivid emotions on his face.
