A draft for the Law on Population has proposed that localities with low birth rates in Vietnam should provide financial support for women having a second child, as well as giving the children tuition exemptions.
The rate of cesarean sections in VN among pregnant women has been increasing over the past 15 years, reaching 37 percent in 2022, higher than the rate recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO), according to the Ministry of Health (MOH).
