Vietnamese students have reaped high results at the final round of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) 2017, held in Costa Rica from November 10-12.

Accordingly, in the category for junior high school students, the Vietnamese students ranked tenth place out of 86 teams in the final round.

Meanwhile, in the category for primary school students in the final round, the Vietnamese representatives also claimed thirteenth position out of the 81 teams.

The students are from the Wellspring International Bilingual School Hanoi and, with the results, two teams from the School have attained the highest achievement among the 12 Vietnamese teams competing in the WRO 2017.

This year’s WRO attracted the participation of 500 teams from 55 countries around the world. The teams competed in five rounds in order to select 64 teams to compete in the final.

Since its inception in 2004, the World Robot Olympiad has strived to become a truly global competition and aims to bring together young people from all over the world to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills through challenging and educational robotics competitions.
