Japan stops education consulting firms from handling visa applications
The Japanese Embassy has announced a list of 37 overseas education consulting firms in Vietnam that have been stripped of their role as a representative that can apply for Japanese visas on behalf of their student customers.

The number of s tudents from Vietnam in Japan increased by 91.6 percent to 26,439 in May 2014, the second largest among foreign students, according to the latest survey by Japan Student Services Organisation.
