The online community wrote comments expressing anger because Purrfect Tale used the illegal 'cow's tongue line' in the game.

Many social network users in Vietnam on August 25 were outraged when they discovered the illegal 'cow's tongue line' appearing in chapter 6 of online game Purrfect Tale. This is a fashion-forward virtual pet game released globally by a developer called BadMouse based in Chengdu, Sichuan (China).
After being boycotted resulted in 1-star review on the Google Play Store, the game developer announced that it would remove Purrfect Tale from the Google Play Store and App Store in Vietnam from August 26. This helped a 1-star review to be blocked, due to the policy of Google and Apple that does not allow users to rate the game without downloading it.
This move therefore angered Vietnamese users, arguing that the game developer was "devious" when they did not remove the "cow's tongue line" but instead locked Vietnam's IPs and blocked bad reviews. Immediately, netizens called for roaming (with iOS) or using a VPN (with Android) to download the game and rate it 1 star.
On the game's fanpage and Instagram, users are still leaving comments expressing outrage and asking the developer to immediately stop showing the illegal 'cow's tongue line'.
This is not the first time that games of Chinese origin have illegally inserted the 'cow's tongue line'. Last November, the game 'Little Panda’s World Travel’ was also found to have a 'cow's tongue line'. The Department of Broadcasting and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) requested Google and Apple to remove it from their app stores.
In April 2021, Vietnamese netizens also boycotted the fashion brand H&M for posting the image of the 'cow's tongue line' on its official website, but the fashion firm immediately removed it.
