VietNamNet Bridge – Two Vietnamese frigates with more than 200military officers and sailors on board under the command of Deputy Chief of the Vietnam Navy Rear Admiral Nguyen Van Kiem, docked on November 19 at Muara Port, Brunei.
They were received by Vietnam Ambassador to Brunei Nguyen Truong Giang and Vietnamese Defence Attache in Brunei Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Son.
During their visit, the Vietnamese delegation plans to pay a courtesy call to the Commands of the Royal Brunei Navy and Armed Forces and participate in friendly sports activities with the Royal Brunei Navy.
This is the first visit by the Vietnamese frigates christened the HQ-011 Dinh Tien Hoang and HQ-012 Ly Thai To to Brunei, which aims to strengthen the friendship and mutual understanding between the two navies.
