The 27-year-old contestant surpassed 22 other rivals after competing in rounds such as sportswear, swim suit, and formal, all of which were held in Bangkok and Pattaya in Thailand from June 1 to June 4.

The runner-up titles went to Gordan Tay Tze Yong of Singapore, Mark Jero Maling Bagaporo of the Philippines, and Baeksun Choi of the Republic of Korea, respectively.

Lee Nguyen, known by his full name of Nguyen Thanh Tung, is currently a lecturer at the Academy of Applied Sports Science (ASSA).

He stands at 1.75 metres tall and weighs 80kg. The gymnast previously won top prizes at Muscle Contest Vietnam in 2017 and 2018.

This is the first time that Vietnam has sent a representative to compete at the contest and obtained a grand prize.

Lee Nguyen is scheduled to participate in activities in various Thai localities and meet with media in August before returning to Vietnam.
