National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan meets Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith on December 6 on the occassion of the latter's Vietnam visit for the 43rd session of the Vietnam - Laos Intergovernmental Committee on Bilateral Cooperation.

The top Vietnamese legislator expresses her appreciation for closer cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies, and thanks Laos for its support and participation in ASEAN and AIPA activities in 2020 hosted by Vietnam.

From October 18-20, 2020, Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide visits Vietnam one month after taking office.

This is the first overseas trip of Suga Yoshihide in his capacity as Prime Minister of Japan.

The Japanese PM pays a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, holds talks with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and have meetings with Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan Chairwoman of the National Assembly, and  Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Organization Commission, and the Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentary Group. Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-Seug, alongside his wife and senior delegation pay a visit to Vietnam from October 31 to November 4 at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The Vietnamese NA leader warmly welcomes her Korean counterpart Park Byeong-Seug and his delegation's official visit to Vietnam.

This is the first official visit to Vietnam by NA Speaker Park Byeong-Seug as Speaker of the 21st National Assembly of the Republic of Korea since he takes office on June 5, 2020.
