The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Thursday that the e-visa system, available to citizens of 80 countries, is now in operation again as the country fully reopened to international tourists from March 15, 2022.

The Vietnamese Government has issued a resolution on visa exemption for citizens of some countries for a period of three years.

Vietnam is slated to resume pre-pandemic bilateral and unilateral visa exemption policies for foreigners when the country fully reopens international tourism on March 15, announced the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang.

The Department of Immigration has issued a notice on automatic stay extension for foreigners stranded due to COVID-19.

Foreigners who entered Vietnam from March 1 can have their temporary stay permits automatically extended for another month until September 30, the Immigration Department announced on Monday.
