The Ministry of Construction has submitted a document to the Government Office concerning the inauguration of infrastructure projects to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Following a review of the projects under its management, the Ministry of Construction has proposed six major projects scheduled for inauguration on this significant date.

Three subprojects under the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) development project for the 2021-2025 period will be operational by April 28. These include the Bai Vot - Ham Nghi section (35.28 km), Ham Nghi - Vung Ang section (54.2 km), and Bung - Van Ninh section (48.84 km).

The Van Phong - Nha Trang section, another part of the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) for the 2021-2025 phase, will be opened on the holiday itself, from April 30 to May 1.

The Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, with a total length of 57.8 km, has so far completed 18.32 km. According to the project investor, this completed section will undergo technical commissioning on April 28.

As part of the same commemorative effort, the Rach Mieu 2 Bridge project will achieve a major milestone: the joining of the two main tower piers P19 and P20 on the main bridge span.
