Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Transportation informed the terrorist threats by improvised explosive devices hidden in containers of personal care liquid or cosmetic on Russian aircraft at the airports of Russia and other countries.

The Russian Federation has adopted a temporary prohibition on carrying liquids, liquid spray, cream, dough mixture as hand luggage on flights from Russia.

The ban does not apply to the items purchased in the isolated areas in the airport and on aircraft, provided that the liquids must be packed in sealed transparent plastic bags and medicines, diet food, baby formula and food amounts needed to passengers or members of the flight crew.

To fulfilling its responsibilities to the international civil aviation communities, and to comply with the provisions of the Civil Aviation Organization International (ICAO), the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam will apply measures enhancing security control over the liquid, liquid spray, cream, and dough mixture as the Russian Federation authorities have applied for flights from Vietnam to Russia in the specified time.
