On March 17, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union officially launched the ACP World Championship 2025 in Vietnam.

This annual competition, first held in 2013, identifies top design talents skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.

The competition is open to students aged 13 to 22 and has a global reach, attracting hundreds of thousands of participants from nearly 70 countries and territories each year.

National qualifiers kick off across Vietnam

Immediately after the opening ceremony, Vietnam’s national qualifiers for the 8th edition of the ACP World Championship took place simultaneously in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.

A total of 253 outstanding contestants, selected from more than 60 teams representing high schools, vocational schools, colleges, universities, and academies nationwide, are competing for a chance to advance.

In 2025, the number of participants and teams has increased by 10% compared to last year. Notably, the number of vocational and college-level contestants has surged, accounting for nearly 60% of total participants, while high school students make up 23%.

According to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, this trend reflects a growing emphasis on career orientation and graphic design training among educational institutions.

A pathway to global recognition

Tran Huu, Director of the Center for Science, Technology, and Young Talent Development under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, emphasized that the competition aligns with Resolution 57 on scientific and technological development, innovation, and digital transformation.

This year, contestants are divided into three competition groups. The top five performers from each group will advance to the national finals, where they will compete for three spots to represent Vietnam at the world finals in Orlando, U.S.

At the ACP World Championship finals, participants will have the opportunity to compete for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, with corresponding cash prizes of $8,000, $4,000, and $2,000.

Additionally, Vietnam’s national champions will be awarded the "Creative Youth" badge by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in recognition of their achievements.
