VietNamNet Bridge – The national team will take part in Judo Grand Prix in Budapest, Hungary, on June 21-22, in preparation for the upcoming 17th Asian Games (ASIAD) to be held in the Republic of Korea.

Participants include Van Ngoc Tu (under 48kg category), Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (under 52kg), Nguyen Thi Nhu Van (under 57kg) and Nguyen Thi Huong (under 63kg).

The most outstanding Judoka is Ngoc Tu who has bagged a gold medal in SEA Games five times. She also entered the quarter-finals of the 15th and 16th Asian Games.

The Vietnamese team hopes to gain more experience from the tournament which attracts leading athletes from around the world.

Throughout the tournament, the training board of Vietnam’s national team will assess the performance of each athlete and their preparation for the next important tournaments.

The national team coached by Le Quoc Tham is training in Europe from June 15-30.
