VietNamNet Bridge - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the cooperation agreement between the Vietnam Television (VTV) and the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) to establish a joint stock company to build the Vietnam television tower, the highest of its kind in the world.
Japan's Tokyo Skytree is currently the world's highest TV tower at the height of 634m.
This project will be implemented on an area of over 14 hectares in Tay Ho District in Hanoi.
This project must be approved by the government because it is a specialized international-scale project. The project will enjoy the highest incentives in accordance with the law.
Besides SCIC, VTV can select other partners, which are private firms, to operate the project.
After the project is put into operation, VTV and SCIC can issue shares to recover capital.
According to the Government, this is a significant work in the field of television in Vietnam, which will have a positive effect on tourism, investment and society, and will also be architectural highlight of Hanoi.
