Tien Linh affirmed that winning the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball serves as motivation to push forward, despite his many achievements with the national team.

Overcome with emotion, the newly crowned Vietnam Golden Ball winner shared, “After years of waiting, I have finally won this prestigious award. It’s a source of immense pride and happiness - not just for myself, but also for my club and especially my family, who have supported me for so many years.”

"When I heard my name announced as the Golden Ball winner, I was truly emotional. The suspense leading up to that moment was intense because every nominee tonight was equally deserving," Linh admitted.

"This is an award every player dreams of when stepping into professional football. It is both a great honor and a significant pressure, as it means we have to perform even better after winning the Golden Ball."

Determined to achieve more

“I don’t want to stop at today’s award. I want to keep coming back to these galas in the years ahead. To do that, I must continue striving for greater heights with my club and the Vietnam national team,” he said.

Discussing his personal goals for both his club and the national team, Vietnam’s star striker stated, “At the club level, I will do my best to help my teammates achieve even greater success.

Losing Xuan Son is a big challenge and a major setback for the national team, but we still have many talented forwards ready to step up. I hope to help Vietnam qualify for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup and, at the very least, reach the third round of the 2030 World Cup qualifiers."
