The chosen theme of this year’s General Assembly is timely and relevant, as the world faces increasingly complex global challenges. Countries are called upon to enhance multilateral cooperation to jointly overcome these issues.

At the IPU-150 forum, Vietnam’s National Assembly will join other parliaments in exchanging experiences, promoting bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and discussing development strategies.

During the official visit to Uzbekistan, Chairman Tran Thanh Man will hold talks with the chairs of the Senate and the Legislative Chamber (Lower House) of Uzbekistan’s Parliament. He is also scheduled to meet with the President and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan.

The Chairman will attend the Uzbekistan–Vietnam Business Forum, meet with Vietnamese Embassy staff, and engage with representatives of the Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan, among other key activities.

This marks the first visit by a Vietnamese National Assembly head to Uzbekistan and is the highest-level visit by a Vietnamese leader since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992.

The visit underscores Vietnam’s consistent foreign policy of strengthening ties with traditional partners, including Uzbekistan.

In recent years, the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Uzbekistan have continued to grow stronger, yielding positive and tangible results.
