According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), the country posted US$241.42 billion worth of export revenue in the first 11 months of this year, up 7.8% compared to the same period last year.
The country also witnessed five types of goods with export revenue of over US$10 billion each, occupying 59.6% of Vietnam’s total export revenue.
In the 11-month period, phones and components reported the highest export revenue of US$48.7 billion, making up 20.2% of total export revenue and up 5.4% compared to the same period last year.
Electronics products, computers and components had an export revenue of US$32.4 billion, up 19.4% over the same period last year.
Garment and textile; footwear; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts were also among goods posting export revenue of over US$10 billion each.
The US continued to be the largest export market of Vietnam and it was followed by the EU, China, ASEAN, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
During the 11-month period, 35 types of goods recorded import revenue of over US$1 billion each, accounting for 90% of total import revenue. SGT

The domestic textile and garment industry was still striving to reach its export revenue target of US$40 billion this year despite facing many difficulties, said Vu Duc Giang, chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS).
