VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has requested a recall and told consumers not to use imported cheese under the brand Hardy Affineur from France.

According to the MoIT’s Department of Science and Technology, the recall was due to ecoli 0157 from raw milk and cheese imported from France following a warning sent by the International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN) to Vietnamese authority agencies. France has also recalled the affected products.
The ministry has asked management agencies to inform businesses and individuals about the recall.
In addition to the recall, the ministry has also tightened imports of Valencay Aoc Affine Hardy cheese.
The ministry also asked consumers to report outlets that continued to sell the products.
The cheese, made from goats’ milk, is in French supermarkets nationwide and distributed to Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, Romania, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, the UK and Vietnam.
