On the evening of April 23, a representative of the Food Safety Authority confirmed receipt of a formal request from the Criminal Investigation Department under the Ministry of Public Security.

The letter sought collaboration in combating crime and identifying legal violations. It specified 12 counterfeit nutritional and food products in milk powder form.

The Food Safety Authority has urged local health departments, Ho Chi Minh City's Food Safety Department, Da Nang’s Food Safety Management Board, and provincial food safety divisions to review, inspect, and collaborate with local authorities to recall the 12 fake products from the market. It also requested coordination with the Ministry of Public Security's Criminal Investigation Department to ensure legal compliance in addressing the issue.

Additionally, the ministry advised the public not to use any of the 72 milk products currently under investigation by Rance Pharma and Hacofood until the Ministry of Public Security concludes its inquiry.
