About 700 Vietnamese citizens in Myanmar are staying in temporarily safe areas and information about many others is now being verified in the context of the complicated security situation in some northern states of the country.
A high-ranking delegation of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) of Myanmar is paying a visit to Vietnam from July 1 to 5 at the invitation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee.
Trade between Vietnam and Myanmar reached $860 million in 2018, making Vietnam the 9th largest trade partner of Myanmar, it was reported at a meeting between Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue and Myanmar Minister of Planning and Finance Soe Win.
