
The Vietnam national futsal team earned a 2-2 draw against Kazakhstan in the second leg of their international friendly series, winning the series 6-3 on aggregate.
Unlike the first match, Kazakhstan started the second game with greater intensity and quickly took control. In the 10th minute, Yersultan opened the scoring with a stunning volley from a corner kick. Just a minute later, Kairbay Damir doubled the lead with a precise angled shot, making it 2-0.
Despite the early deficit, Vietnam remained composed. In the 16th minute, Dinh Cong Vien intercepted the ball and fired a powerful strike past world number one goalkeeper Leo Higuita, narrowing the gap to 1-2.
In the second half, Vietnam continued to play with confidence. In the 22nd minute, Manh Dung netted the equalizer after a clever assist from Thinh Phat. The remainder of the match saw several chances for both sides, but no additional goals were scored.
With the 2-2 draw in the second leg, Vietnam completed the friendly series with a 6-3 overall win against Kazakhstan, currently ranked seventh in the world.
Previously, the team also secured back-to-back victories over Saudi Arabia (2-1 and 3-2), showcasing significant progress under head coach Diego Giustozzi.
