Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed a decision to establish an inter-agency steering committee responsible for executing judgments and recovering misappropriated and lost assets in criminal cases related to Van Thinh Phat Group.

Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh will serve as the head of the steering committee, while Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh has been appointed as the deputy head.

Committee members include: Deputy Minister of Justice Mai Luong Khoi; Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Ngoc Lam; Deputy Chief of the Government Office Do Ngoc Huynh; Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; Standing Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh; Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi; Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Doan Thai Son; Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh; and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa.

Also participating in the committee are representatives from the Central Committee for Internal Affairs, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit Office. Leaders from several localities including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Long An, and Quang Ninh will also be involved.

According to the decision, the steering committee functions as an inter-agency coordination body that supports the Prime Minister in handling major and cross-sectoral issues related to enforcing legal judgments and asset recovery in cases tied to Van Thinh Phat Group.

The Ministry of Justice will serve as the committee’s permanent office. The head of the committee is responsible for issuing working regulations and is accountable to the Government for fulfilling the duties outlined in the decision.
