Luan expressed hope for a more comprehensive educational link between the two countries, including continuing the fine arts project in Vietnamese elementary schools, which has achieved positive results since its launch five years ago, as well as extending its reach to secondary and high schools.
Vietnam also wishes for more doctorate scholarships to university lecturers, in support of a scheme on training 20,000 Vietnamese holders of doctorate, with half of them trained abroad by 2020, he said.
Antorini informed the host of her activities in Vietnam during the three-day visit, including meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam, attending the Vietnam – Denmark education forum, and touring several schools and companies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
“Danish educational institutions have a strong tradition and position providing education and learning of unique international standards. There is a good match between the current challenges and needs here in Vietnam and the unique Danish strongholds on vocational educational training, upper secondary business colleges, technical colleges and other areas”, she said.
She was hopeful that the bilateral education relationship would thrive further in the future.
