Quang Hai, Hoang Duc, and Duy Manh join ASEAN All-Stars for a May 28 match in Malaysia.

Vietnamese national team members Nguyen Hoang Duc (from Ninh Binh), Nguyen Quang Hai (CAHN), and Do Duy Manh (Hanoi FC) have officially been selected by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) to join the ASEAN All-Stars squad.
The full squad of ASEAN All-Stars will consist of top players from all 12 member associations of the AFF, with the complete roster to be announced soon.
This elite team, made up of the most outstanding players in Southeast Asia, will be managed by head coach Kim Sang Sik and will take on Manchester United in a special exhibition match on May 28, 2025, at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Despite being the defending ASEAN Cup champions, Vietnam will have only three representatives in the squad. A notable absence is Nguyen Tien Linh, who was the second-highest scorer in the 2024 ASEAN Cup but was not selected.
According to AFF, the selection of the three Vietnamese players was based on their outstanding form, professionalism, and impressive fighting spirit in recent competitions.
The AFF also praised the coaching talent and reputation of Kim Sang Sik, who led the Vietnam national team to their ASEAN Cup 2024 title.
“It is a great honor to lead the best players from across ASEAN in such a high-profile match. We are not just representing our countries but showing the world the pride, passion, and strength of the region,” said coach Kim Sang Sik.
