VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s representative Tran Thi Quynh reached the top six of the 2013 Mrs World beauty contest, which concluded in Guangzhou, China, on November 23.

Contestants who made it to the final round had to compete in three sections – traditional costume, bikini, and evening gown.

Tran Thi Quynh of Vietnam joined the five remaining candidates in a Q&A section where they were asked to answer a common question “Why do you take part in the Mrs World pageant?”

In her reply, Quynh said she wanted to honour the beauty and intellect of Vietnamese women, as well as making friends and learning from other beautiful and outstanding women across the world.

“If I am lucky enough to be crowned with the Mrs World title, it will be a huge honour for our country, and I will do my best to promote cultural exchange and charity work in Vietnam and other countries worldwide,” she added.

After much deliberation the judging panel finally selected Kaley Sparling, 26, from the US as Mrs World 2013. The two runners-up were Robyn Morrison, 37, from the UK, and Kim Marie Martin, 36, from Singapore.
